Yet it is just 11 minutes to the centre of the township of Taupo, famous for its trout fishing, outdoor activities, hot pools. The views from this property are magic, taking in the rolling surrounding farmland, lake and mountains. Foud bedrooms offer double and/or single beds and a woodfire keeps the house warm during the cooler winter months. For skiers just take a look out the lounge windows to see if you will be heading up the slopes. Boaties look down into Whakaipo Bay to decide whether the lake is calm enough for a trip to the nearby Western Bays. Families will enjoy the space and yet peace and tranquility of this family home.

Neighborhood

This home is set in the hills surrounding the largest lake in the Southern Hemisphere, LAke Taupo. It looks down onto the lake and is surrounded by farmland. Other houses are also nearby, set on the two acre blocks of the Whakaipo Estate.

About Us

Two teachers with four children. Two boys aged 19 and 20 are at university and two girls 16 will travel as part of this group. We also have a grandmother with us who sometimes travels with us. We all love snow and water skiing, tennis, soccer, mountainbiking and on the cultural side enjoy the big shows which visit occasionally. We have a wide variety of interests to fit most cities and countries.
