Description

Our house is a classic 1920's New Zealand Bungalow. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds and 1 single. Seperate living room with gas fire and dining room with table seating 6 and an excellent kitchen with dishwasher, double sink, wastemaster, gas hobs and electic oven. We have a large double fridge. 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and a toilet with sliding door to seperate from the bathroom. We have two sun-rooms, one off the master bedroom and 1 off the kitchen. Double doors open from the kitchen and back sun-room to a deck and small sunny garden. The house is very secure with electric gates and an alarm system. We have carpeted floors and lots of lovely wooden features around the house. The house is very sunny - in the bedrooms in the morning and kitchen and rear garden in the afternoon.
We are on a main road, but traffic noise is not a problem and has the benefit of being close to many public amenities (See "neighbourhood").
Children are welcome in our house, however as we have no children, it is not "child safe" - e.g. no latches on cupboard doors.

Neighborhood

Our post code is the Mt Albert area of Auckland, however the house is situated in the middle of Mt Albert, Sandringham, Kingsland and St Lukes areas. This group of suburbs is an old area of Auckland with a mixture of gracious old homes and new development. It is also a culturally diverse area. We live on Morningside Drive which is a main road between St Lukes and Kingsland. We are directly opposite St Lukes (a Westfield shopping centre), which along with many retail outlets, has an excellent Foodtown Supermarket, and an 8 Cinema movie complex. Bus routes are also directly opposite the house for easy access to central Auckland. The Morningside train station is a flat 7 minute walk from the house and Eden Park (location for many of the RWC games in 2011 is a flat 12 minute walk. There are also many popular cafes, restaurants and bars within walking distance of the house in groovy Kingsland.

About Us

Hello, I am Justine, a PA at KPMG, a chartered accountancy firm in central Auckland, my partner, Stephen a Manager at GE Money also in central Auckland. We are 38 and 46 respectively and have no children (however Stephen has a 20 year old son from a previous marriage).
Stephen and I have been together for 3 years and have travelled many places together, including Spain, France, Italy, Australia and New Zealand and intend to continue to do this.
We are both interested in travel, wine and food, I love to read & cook and Stephen loves to watch cricket and rugby (well most sports actually). We both also love to shop!
My parents both live in Auckland, as does Stephen's Mum.
