Description

Our 100 m2 duplex flat is part of an old house with a nice and cosy atmosphere. It is decorated with local furniture and materials. It is composed of a kitchen with a fire place (fridge, oven and dish washer), three bedrooms (2 children bedrooms and one parent bedroom), living room with TV and japonese sofa convertible into a spare double bed, a bathroom and washing machine.

Neighborhood

Our flat is located in the center of a very charming and tiny village with view on the Cannes Bay. It is a touristic place but hidden from the mass tourism. It is located at 5 km from Grasse (capital of French perfumes), 20 km from Cannes, 30 km from Nice Airport. It is ideally located at 5 minutes from several famous golf courses and local swimming pools. The sea is reachable by car in 20 minutes. If you are interested in cultural and artistic subjects there are several places which are worth visiting in the area (Picasso, Matisse, Fernand Leger, Fondation Maeght, Vallauris ceramics musea ).
There are several shops and supermarkets nearby and local markets are held on a weekly basis. It is a quiet and central place for people who would like to discover and enjoy the area, half way from the sea (Cannes, Antibes, Nice and Monaco etc.) and the mountains (Gorges du Verdon, Parc du Mercantour). Grasse is only at 5 minutes driving and is a nice and interesting place to visit if you want to know everything about the history of French perfumes production.
A car is needed as Chateaunuef de Grasse is badly connected to local public transport from our point of view!

About Us

We are a French family living in The Nederlands for job reasons (European Organisation). We are scientists. We have three children (2 boys, 8 and 5 years old and a baby girl). We all speak French, English and a little bit of Dutch. We love to discover the world, especialy the historical and cultural aspects. Our children and us are well behaved, reliable and responsible persons. You can be sure that we will take great care of your special place as we expect it from you.

Destination

We are flexible with the exchange dates as this house is our holiday residence. We can be interested by short exchanges with families from major european and north african cities and may be interested with long exchanges for any far other places (i.e. one month). Our period of interest in your house may be during our children holidays (Autumn 2008, Winter 2008, Easter and Summer 2009). We do not have for the moment more relevant pictures (inside of the house). We will be able to do so this summer when we will go back there! It will help you to understand how the house is composed and the quality of it. The house is very clean and has been recently renovated by professional and decorated by ourselves in the respect of the local tradition.
