Description

Our house is located across the street from Napili Bay, on the island of Maui. It is a newly constructed plantation style home with two bedroom suites (each room includes a full bathroom). We have a nice 400 sq/ft deck (that we hope to have furnished by the fall) and an outdoor shower. It is situated on a half acre parcel under the canopy of 4 large monkey pod trees. The house includes a full kitchen and is approximately 1000sq/ft. (+ deck = 1400 sq/ft). The house has an open beam style ceiling and an open floor plan; kitchen area blends into living area which extends into deck. One bathroom has an antique claw foot tub and shower, while the other bathroom is a shower. Both suites have walk-in closets and sliding glass doors that access the deck. One room has a California king size bed while the other room is the kids room and includes a crib and toddler bed. There are Japanese style futons available for additional people. Of course all linens are provided, kitchen is stocked with utensils, dinnerware, etc. Basic cable, DVD, and VCR are all provided.

Neighborhood

Our home is located near the Ritz-Carlton Resort and the Kapalua Resort area. It is a lively Hawaiian-style neighborhood, in which several aspects of old Hawaii remain. Family BBQ's and Luau's are a regular occurrence in this neighborhood. And on Friday afternoons you will almost always hear Hawaiian music drifting through the air. There is a distinct Hawaiian "country" feel to the area. Our home is surrounded by world class beaches; Napili Bay, Kapalua Bay, Ironwoods and Fleming Beach Park are all less than 10 minutes away, if not in walking distance. Several world class restaurants are located within a three mile radius and even more if you drive to Lahaina, 15 minutes south. Two awsome golf courses, the Bay Course and the Plantation Course are located less than 5 minutes away.

About Us

My Husband and I are in our thirties, we have two small children ages 1 1/2 and 2 1/2. I am an archaeologist and my husband is a firefighter. We love the outdoors and traveling. We surf, paddle, ski, bike, love to camp and hike. We are looking for opportunities to travel.

Destination

We are specifically looking for a place in North Lake Tahoe, CA for next winter (2007-2008). Somewhere near the slopes, casinos, shopping, nightlife, and other fun stuff!!

We are open to other destinations of course! We love Colorado; Bozeman or Big Sky, Montana; San Diego; San Francisco; or Europe.
