Villa Xini is a delightful first class villa in the medieval village of Xewkija, the oldest village in the island of Gozo, Malta.

It is within walking distance to all basic amenities. The picturesque pebbly beach of Mgarr ix-Xini is under 30 minutes walk. Victoria also known as Rabat, with its famous Citadel and historic museums and Cathedral, is also just a few minutes drive away.

Neighborhood

The village of Xewkija is famous for its contemporary parish church to St. John the Baptist, known simply as 'the Rotunda'. Not only does it dominate the village, it dominates the entire island. The village with its population fewer than 3,000 has an eccentrically suburban air for an agricultural community. Men on ancient lilac-colored vespas roar noisily through the streets wearing soup-bowl helmets and shot guns slung across their backs; young boys goad a donkey through the main square; a handful of people too old to work the fields sit beside their bamboo-slatted front doors awaiting the cool of the day, while tourists gawp at their church

About Us

My wife is a school teacher and I am a Manager in the hospitality business. Our daughter is currently studying at pre-university level.

Since this is not our primary residence, we have done several exchanges and have visited London, Rome, Vienna and New York.

These exchanges are mostly done during school holidays.
