Beach Place is our seaside holiday home and has been beautifully and luxuriously appointed to fulfill in our every beach holiday need.

The huge balcony is seafacing and boasts impressive beach and seaviews. Ideal for al fresco lunches and sundowners, the balcony has been funished with lovely patio furniture, loungers, a table and chairs and an outside barbecue. We love lounging here after busy sun-filled mornings on the beach.

Beach Place has three lovely bedrooms - two with queen size double beds and the third bedroom with two single beds. In addition, there are also two sleeper couches in the lounge area, just in case you need to accommodate more guests.

The two front bedrooms open onto the balcony via french doors to let in the beach views and the sea breeze. There are two bathrooms (one en-suite).

The kitchen is well-appointed with all major appliances, including a dishwasher, tumble dryer, microwave and washing machine .

The lounge/diningroom has a dining table that seats eight, two couches, a drinks trolley, bookshelf, coffee table and a TV with satellite functions.

Two safe remote-access underground parking bays for cars and 24 hour security guards assure your safety.

The maid comes in to clean ever day except over weekends and public holidays and all linen and towel changes are handled by her as well.

Beach Place only has 200 thread count or more linen on the beds, with beautiful duvets and pillows to match.

The KwaZulu Natal makes airconditioning necessary and Beach Place has aircon in the lounge/dining room and also in the main bedroom with fans in all rooms.

Umdloti has some fabulous restaurants and is only 24kms from Durban. You will love Beach Place for its luxurious finishes and beautiful views!

Neighborhood

Beach Place is set in a small holiday village - literally a stone's throw from Durban and all its beach and holiday attractions.

Umdloti is safe, not busy in holiday season and is the ideal base from where to explore the Dolphin Coast and all its attractions. We have dolphin and whale viewing from the balcony! In addition, little vervet monkeys may pay you a visit as they live in the surrrounding forests and love to come and scrounge for food.

We have fabulous restaurants within walking distance of the apartment.

Game parks with the Big 5 are a short day drive of 120km's away. Two major golf courses,
the Zimbali Forest Golf Course and Durban Country Club are respectively 10 and 30 km's from Beach Place.

Ushaka Marine World with its world-class dolphinarium, aquarium and waterslides are 24 km's away. Or why not visit the Crocodile Ranch with its scaly attractions only a short drive away at Ballito Bay?

Learn to kiteboard at the lagoon or what about some surfing lessons?

The surf is always up at Umdloti and the nearby beaches of Umhlanga Rocks and La Lucia! You will love the subtropical climate, the friendly people, the local food and the breath-taking ocean views!

About Us

Our surroundings are very important to us. We live in Johannesburg in a fabulous house on Northcliff hill with views of the city (maybe you want to come and stay here as well?)

Our beach apartment is the perfect getaway and the apartment has been furnished with and finished to our exact specifications.in an up-market style with exceptional attention to detail.

We have two boys, Ian and Nic, and they love getting down to the beach where they surf and kiteboard to their heart's content.

I am an advertising copywriter by profession, so unfortunately I often have to take work with me when we go to Beach Place. The good thing is that inspiration really comes easy when you're looking out over the beautiful ocean and can hear the pounding of the surf!

My husband, Paul, is a mining engineer and that is the real reason why we live in Johannesburg - to be near the gold mines! Luckilly we get away to Beach Place quite often.

We also own a lovely house in the Cape, in the middle of the winelands. So, who knows, between Johannesburg, Umdloti and Cape Town we can practically fulfill your every tourist need. Talk to me!

We are well-travelled and our favourite destinations are Italy, France, India and of course, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique.

We can speak English, Afrikaans, German and some Italian.

We love dogs and have three of them!
