Unique New England style 5 Bedroom house situated in an exclusive neighbourhood in Montreal with a large private yard and a large swimming pool which is in the sun all day. Great views of the St. Lawrence and Lac St-Louis. We are located on a one way street with a bike path that runs along the old Lakeshore road - great for biking, rollerblading or late day strolls. Our house has an extremely large master bedroom with a fireplace and a small deck for morning coffee or breakfast. There are three large children's bedrooms and a spare room that we use as an office. There is a small library with sky lights and a large family room with wall to wall windows facing the garden and the pool. The kitchen is modern and extremly confortable and gives to a large stone deck for summertime dining.

Our house is extremely clean and is a non-smoking house!!!

Neighborhood

We are situated in a very quiet suburb of Montreal known as Beaconsfield. We are 30 minutes from downtown Montreal. We are a 5 minute bike ride from Beaurepaire village where there are a limited number of shops, restaurants and a bakery. There are a number of such small village areas up and down the Lakeshore. One can ride a bike through a series of bike paths from our house all the way to downtown Montreal, Old Montreal or even the south shore of Montreal, following the Lake, the St. Lawrence river and the Lachine canal.

From Montreal, you can easily travel to the Laurentians (to the North - 1 hour), Ottawa (Canada's capital to the west - 1.5 hours), The Eastern Townships (to the Southeast 1.5 hours), Quebec City (to the East - 3 hours), Kingston (to the Southwest - 2 hours) and Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York (to the South - 1.5 hours). There is no shortage of activities in all of these areas from museums, to cultural sites to sporting activities.

About Us

We are a family of five. John (46) has his own business. Diane (45) is a high school math teacher and we have three children: Cassandra (12), Stephanie (9) and Patrick (6). We are very avid outdoors people and we enjoy a broad range of sports. We are all bilingual (French and English) although all three children are quick to point out that they often correct Daddy's French. We all enjoy eating and sharing time together as a family.
