Neighborhood

Our little country in the city oasis overlooks the Grand River, which is probably the 2nd largest fresh water river in Ontario. It meanders through the countryside from Lake Ontario and reaches Georgian Bay very close to the World's Largest Freshwater Beach.
We are directly across from a secluded and well known 9 hole golf course located at the edge of the River, yet this pristine course is hidden in Ravine and Woods of the Grand River, and only thoughs of discriminating tastes have found its lush fairways. The wildlife of the true country still exists in our little hidden gem of Kitchener. Rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks and other such delightful and harmless creatures chase each other on sultry summer days, while the Deer can be seen crossing the River and grazing the slopes of the Rivers Edge. This enclave of large country style homes is situated on quiet paved roads where walking is safe day or night, and the postal service still arrives at your door.
We are Walking distance from lovely shops and unique eateries, and have access to a very well planned Public Transportation System. Two Wonderful Shopping Malls are within a 15 minute drive........go to either one and your day will be filled with exploring brand name and boutique shops...........or go watch the ice skaters while nibbling on a treat in the Food Court.

About Us

We are happily married for 22 years, and have found Kitchener to be a lovely hub of things to do, or not do. Our little quiet oasis has surprised us in its ability to seem part of the action of city life, without being in the action of city life. Mr. is a Sales Manager, by day, for a local Company that produces high quality Delicatesean Meats and a woodworking hobbiest in his free time. The Mrs. is the guiding light to his ever productive hobby and his love of fixing up things. She also tends her gardens of floral delights and is constantly roaming the property enjoying the visual bounty that is there. Together, they spend summer evenings outside amongst the candlight and antique wood burning fireplace and listen to natures song.

Destination

we are looking for Arizon, Texas or New Mexico, on the beach with similar amenties that we offer or a private swimming pool on their own property. we are looking to scope out possible retirement living opportunities so anything that is conducive to this and allowing for some country and small town exploration is wonderful.
we would prefer simultaneous exchange, but for the right type of exchange, non-simultaneous would be considered. We both have great driving records, no health issues and would love the use of a realiable vehicle for local excursions. We offer the same in return.
