Description

Our home is in Cardiff by the Sesa, a small surfing community just north of San Diego. We have one of the best views in town with more than 180 degress as the house goes to a point at the front with 40 feet of glass 15 feet high. It is a custom home built in the 1960 and retaining many retro features. There in a sheltered patio with extra dining area, an outside ocean view deck with dining area, two bedrooms, two baths, a large living room/dining room, a kitchen with all modern conveniences and a small office with high speed internet access also has washer and dryer and an extra fridge. We have central heating/air conditioning, wireless phones, 3 cable TVs, stereo,carpeted or wood floors, grill, oven, microwave, freezer and refridgerator. Optional 2 car exchange. There is a small garden surrounding the house which is set on a hill in a very quiet neighborshood.

Neighborhood

Cardiff by the Sea is one of the surfing capitol of the world and you can see or join into the beach life from the house. The beach is 6 blocks away and you have white water views from the living room. The small town of Cardiff by the Sea, (easy walking distance) has modern library, postoffice, gourmet grocery store, custom bikini shop and many, many wonderful restuarants, some right on the waterfront. There are large commercial shopping areas within a 3 minute drive, downtown San Diego with the world famous SD Zoo, Balboa Park Cultural Center, theaters, gas lamp is 20 minutes away, La Jolla with luxury shopping and restaurants and the MoCA is 10 minutes away. Los Angels and Disneyland are 1.5 hours drive due north. Tijuana, Mexico is just across the border and about 40 minutes away if you want a taste of a whole other country.

About Us

Patricia is an artist and coordinator of www.SDVAN.net . Darwin is a physicist and has an independent business www.PCbytheSea.com so he is a computer consultant and does upgrades, repairs and tutoring. Our time is our own and we can work anywhere with a high speed connection. We are semi-retired and travel without children, no pets. Although we own a flat in London, we don't always like to give our tenants notice and so we look for exchanges in London so we can visit our many friends and do maintenance on the flat once a year. We like to stay 2 -6 weeks for each visit.

Destination

Ideally we would like to start April 27 and stay about 6 weeks, but we are willing to have shorter dates or change the start date slightly. We only need one block of time this year in 2008
