Description

We have an apartment in the heart of the most exclusive and beautiful area in central London, next to American Embassy, Grosvenor Square, and a few minutes from Oxford Street and Hyde Park. The situation is great, opposite the London Marriott and Millenium Hotels.

We are 1 minute from Bond Street station for the subway. The apartment has one bedroom, in a listed and beautiful period Victorian property, in a quiet and calm area. The property can sleep a couple plus 1-2 children. It's not huge, but charming and quaint anyway!

Unusually for an apartment in central London there is also a fabulous large (football pitch size) roof garden with amazing views over London, including Queen Victorias' Elephant Stables! We have an eat-in kitchen, new fitted appliances, bath plus WiFi and broadband throughout. Also free calls to Germany!

There is a comfortable queen-bed pull out in lounge and a childrens bedroom with a 'midi-sleeper' bed, cot on request. We would ideally like to swap with a family who can benefit from using the main bedroom for their child. However, any single/couple who are happy to use lounge to sleep in, or want to sleep on spare mattress in bedroom can respond. We would likewise assure you of a well behaved young child in our travel party, no scribblers!

Everything in London on your doorstep, and accessible by foot! Buckingham palace a 15 min walk, museums and galleries 5 mins etc.

We're looking for an exchange for around 1-2 weeks. We want to travel in June or September.

Neighborhood

Mayfair: most exclusive and historic destination in London. 2 mins Selfridges store and fabulous shopping Oxford street, Bond Street designers etc. All museums and main sights walking distance (Buckingham Palace 15 mins, Trafalgar Square 10 mins, etc). Hyde Park 5 mins. Bond Street Tube 1 minute from Flats.

About Us

We are also both artists/academics, with a small daughter, I teach at University and my husband is doing a PhD as well as working as Art Director for a major childrens charity. We have a delightful and well behaved (!) 4 year old, used to living in an apartment with precious art objects around her! We speak German and Italian, plus Greek fluently.

We are flexible about length and duration but would prefer the days on or around 9th April!
