Our house is a cute house of 750 square feet. There are 2 bedrooms, one living room with an open attic. One bedroom is equipped with a bed for a baby, the other bedroom is devoted for parents. There is a convertible couch in the living room, and also one in the open attic, so possibly 6 persons and a baby can sleep in the house. There is one bathroom with a tub. Toilets are located separately of the bathroom. The living room is very clear and pleasant, with an open kitchen and a counter. The kitchen comprises : fridge, freezer, microwave/oven, cooking stove, etc. Also, the house has a lot of accessories necessary for a baby (strollers, toys, etc). There is also one bike you can borrow.

Notre maison fait 75m2 et comprend 2 chambres à coucher, une salle à manger avec une mezzanine. Une des chambre est une chambre d’enfant, l’autre chambre comprend un lit 2 places. Le salon et la mezzanine contiennent chacun un canapé convertible, si bien qu’il y a 6 couchages + un lit bébé dans la maison. La salle de bain avec baignoire est séparée des toilettes. Le salon est très clair, avec cuisine américaine et comptoir. La cuisine comprend : plaques de cuisson, four micro-onde/four, réfrigérateur et congélateur. La maison est également équipée pour accueillir un bébé (table à langer, poussette, chauffe biberon…).

Neighborhood

We live in a pleasant neighbourhood, near the metro station Porte de Pantin, line 5. Within a walking distance, there are :
- Parc de la Villette, a place with museums, concerts and a big park. During summer, there is a free outdoor movie festival, one different film each night, in original version.
- Parc des Buttes Chaumont : the biggest Paris park after La Villette park.
- Canal de l’Ourcq : a nice walk along the canal brings you to cinema MK2.
With the subway, you’ll get rapidly to metro and train station Gare du Nord, which is a big hub that will get you quickly any place you want into Paris.
100 m from the house, there is a Velib station, where you can rent a bike for 1 euro/day. Then you can bike along the canal, on the cycling trail. If you rent a bike for the day, you can follow the canal there is a nice trail that will get you out of paris.

Within a walking distance, you’ll find supermarkets and other useful shops. There is a cute typical open market near the house, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.


Nous vivons dans le 19ème, métro Porte de Pantin, ligne 5. Pas loin de la maison, il y a :
- Parc de la Villette, avec la Cité des sciences, la Cité des enfants, la Grande Halle, ses salles de concert et son parc. Durant l’été, il y a un festival de cinéma en plein air gratuit, avec une projection chaque soir
- Parc des Buttes Chaumont
- Canal de l’Ourcq.
Si vous prenez le métro, vous vous rendez rapidement Gare du Nord, où de nombreuses lignes de métro vous permettent de circuler très rapidement dans Paris.

La maison est également située à 100m d'une station Velib ou vous pouvez emprunter un vélo pour la journée pour 1 euro/jour.

La maison est proche de commerces et supermarchés. Il y a un marché couvert pas loin et pas cher, ouvert mardi, jeudi et samedi.

About Us

We are a family of 3 : two parents and one child. My name is Lucie, I work as an engineer, and used to study geophysics. My fiancé, Pierre, is a cinema programmer. Our child is a young baby. We love to travel and used to camp, but it seems now difficult with a small baby. Exchanging apartments seems a fun way of travelling and making contacts with persons abroad. We can exchange tips about our cities. We both speak English, and I speak bad Spanish.

Nous sommes un couple avec un bébé. Je m’appelle Lucie et je travaille comme ingénieur. Mon fiancé s’appelle Pierre et est programmateur de cinéma. Notre bébé est né en 2007. Nous aimons voyager et habituellement faisions du camping, mais avec le bébé, c’est un peu dur maintenant ! Echanger des maisons nous semble une manière sympathique et pratique de partir en vacances.

Destination

We are flexible about the exchange dates and also about the destinations. We’d rather go to a warm nice weather, and not in a big city.
We are willing to exchange on september-october, for two weeks.
We are also open to long week-end exchange (3-5 days).

Nous sommes flexibles sur les dates et les destinations.
Pour le long séjour, nous recherchons a priori plutôt un coin ensoleillé et pas dans une grande ville.
Nous souhaiterions échanger durant septembre-octobre.
De plus, nous souhaiterions échanger pour de longs we, avec toute destination proche de Paris.
