Description

My home was built in 2005 in a style described as "italian villa meets the rocky mountains". It is 1700 sq ft, with a large wrap-around deck, many floor to ceiling windows, and sub-floor heating. It is oriented to the south so is bright and sunny throughout the winter months. It has two bedrooms each with double beds and a potential sleeping alcove in the sitting room. The main floor is open plan with kitchen, sitting room and dining room and propane stove. The master bedroom has ensuite bathroom, the guest bedroom has shower and toilet. There is a one car garage. The house is comfortable, simple and elegant. It is located in an aspen grove, on a dirt road approximately 12 mile north and east of Driggs, Idaho. It is at the base of the west slope of the Teton Mountains and can be googled as South Leigh Rd and State Line Rd. There is world-class downhill, nordic and backcountry skiing within a stone's throw of the house. Grand Targhee resort is 45 minute drive and Jackson Hole resort is a one hour drive. Visitor will have to like snow and be willing to shovel alttle snow to keep decks and entrance way accessible! Beautiful walks surround the house. It is ideal for anyone desiring quiet, comfort, great skiing and some of the best views of the Teton Mountains imaginable.

Neighborhood

A beautiful mountain environment with stupendous views of the Teton Mountains and the western foothills. The neighbourhood is extremely quiet with only three houses in the subdivision, which is set in a lovely aspen grove. Moose, deer, and bear frequent the neighbourhood. The largest "town" Driggs, is located 12 miles away with 1000 inhabitants, a grocery store, health food store and five restaurants and bars. The Teton valley is a high mountain valley, 6,00 ft, currently transitioning from primarily agricultural base to a tourist base.
