Description

This large (250m2) home is atypical : it results from assembling 3 homes dating 100, 50 and 25 years back, but all with the distinctive "Pierre de Paris" facade.
We use the smallest and oldest house - quite cosy indeed - as our "parents inn", with large bed, private bathroom, and office above. The kids enjoy 3 bedrooms upstairs in the most recent house, while kitchen, living room and... computer games room are downstairs. There are plenty of other places to discover.
But you can organize yourself the way you want...
We love especially the large brick chimney in the living room, the mexican hammock "matrimonial", the large kitchen, the small TV room mid-floor, and the possibility for our teenagers kids to have their parties away from us.
We also love to have the choice between the 2 terraces, the large terrace when we invite friends, and also the small terrace in front of our "parents inn" where we have breakfast in summer...
Two enclosed gardens are there, the largest some 300m2, sufficient and not too much work. Plenty of cherries in June, of pruns in July... and jams all the year round...

Neighborhood

WE are located in LePecq, 15km west from downtown Paris. Getting there is a matter of 15 to 20 minutes (out of peak hours of course), by car or by RER (RER station 15' away by foot).
Frankly, there is one inconvenient : the RER passes passes close and is a little noisy.
But besides... the surroundings are lovely : just across the street lies the Seine river, just above us are the "Terrasses" and the Chateau de StGermain, where king Louis XIV was born.
On sunday mornings, we cross the Seine to go to the market in LePecq. Beyond LePecq lies Le Vésinet, a very wealthy residential suburb planned 150 years ago. Versailles also is 20' away.
Also lovely is to just take a bike and ride along the Seine, upstream towards Chatou (nice residential houses painted by the Impressionnists), or downstream towards Maisons Laffite, the horse's city, where you feel like in countryside. Or, also, just climb the hill and get lost in the lanes through the "foret de StGermain".

About Us

WE are both around 50. Florence runs her company invloved in internet audio and video production, wheras Laurent is an engineer and director of an engineering firm.
We have altogether 5 boys, between 18 and 22 years old. Not all of them have holidays with us, of course.
