our house is our second-home for our holiday in South of France
2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen and dining room, terrace. can sleep 4 persons

Neighborhood

our village is called : Millas, 16 km Perpignan, region : Riberal. departement : Pyrenées Orientales, Roussillon
From the entrance to Perpignan, look towards the Canigou Mountain and you will see that the fertile land is divided up into geometrical shapes.

It is the land around the Têt River, a mountain river that had calmed down before reaching the market gardens here.

Bunches of parsley, lettuces in straight lines, sprout at the foot of the peach trees.

The villages on the right bank are known for their fruit and vegetables whilst those on the left bank for their wines grown on granite.

Continuing on this route, turn right at the D612 to discover the Força Real Hermitage.

Built in XVII century, the chapel is next to the ruins of the former royal fortress.

The 5 km drive down to Millas, is an enchantment, with a superb view of the Canigou Mountain.

The town of Millas, on the right bank, has retained its conviviality and its spirit of the "Féria". It is also an attractive town with a rich heritage. The Sainte Eulalie church has a superb pre-baroque reredos.

13 km further down the N116, surrounded by peach trees, lies Ille-sur-Têt that used to be protected by its ramparts, some of which are still visible.

There are several churches in the town as well as a former hospice; a fortified tower shows the importance the town used to have.

The Hospice in Ille now harbours exhibitions. Just the other side of the river are the "orgues", or "fairy chimneys", tall columns of sand and clay that are a result of erosion and an incredible site to see.
