Description

Extensive decks and amazing views across countryside to sea. 4 bedrooms, ensuite bathroom off master bedroom plus walk in robe, family bathroom and 3 huge living areas. Modernised kitchen with dishwasher etc. Total 2.5 acres including four fully fenced paddocks presently keeping sheep and pigs. (can organise to move ). Eggs from chickens every day! Fantastic mature gardens, old growth Kiwi forest trees and fruit trees with inground trampoline, sand pit and tree house for the kids. It really is the 'good life' and Tauranga is the 3rd sunniest place in NZ with over 2500 hours a year!

Neighborhood

We're situated in the Kaimai Hills which are clothed in native Forest and pasture and form an impressive range adjacent to the kiwi fruit and avocado laden coastal plains to the east and the dairy country of the Waikato to the east.

It's a completely private yet wonderful neighbours who feed our labrador when we go away. Local primary /intermediate school 5 mins away. Easy drive to the city of Tauranga (120,000) where we both work, but there's a good office (and 'sleepout' for guests) away from the house for teleworking.

About Us

I am an intensive care nurse working at the local hospital. My husband is in tertiary education. We have three very well behaved children aged 2, 6 and 11.

It's a great lifestyle choice for those who enjoy the outdoors - the beautiful Pacific surfing beaches are half an hour away and the sheltered harbour closer. There are numerous bush walks, and the largest ski resort in the southern hemisphere is 3 hours drive. Rotorua and the many tourist attractions are a 50 minute drive.

Destination

Tauranga is a very popular destination in New Zealand with many people moving over permanently or for extended peroids to take advantage of the fantastic weather and outdoor lifestyle.

We are looking for a simultaneous exchange for 6-12 months but are flexible. We would plan to put our children into the local school so would only a consider rural, village or small town options with good schools. Our extended family is in the UK and we hope to catch up with them and let the children get to know their cousins and grandparents.
