Description

Modern, meticulously presented home, with all mod cons, situated in quiet residential area, 2 minutes walk to pretty man made lake for evening strolls (see photo). 5 bedrooms, sleeping 6+ people, 2 bathrooms, study room with computers connected to broadband. We have a fully fenced backyard with patio and barbecue area. Our neighbours are friendly. We have a vehicle (seating 5) for exchangers to use.

Neighborhood

25 minutes to downtown Auckland, 20-25 minutes to gorgeous West Coast Beaches, vineyards and 5 minutes to Waitakere Ranges for bush walks. We have a local grocery store close by together with fast food outlets. A large shopping mall, medical facilities, restaurants, cinemas are just 5 minutes away.

About Us

We are a family of 4, mum, dad in early forties, two children ages 13 and 10. Dad is a communications engineer and mum is a personal assistant working for lawyers. We are looking to have our first home exchange with European exchangers. Due to work commitments, we are only looking at travelling during Dec '09 and Jan '10 - for the European winter - with a preference for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Rep - but anywhere in Western and Eastern Europe will be considered. It is a wonderful time of the year to be in NZ - for the summer. It should be noted that our exchange party will only be two - our children will be having a holiday in Australia with grandparents while we are in Europe.

Destination

We are flexible with our dates between Christmas 2009 and the end of January 2010, however we would most likely only wish to stay at your home for a period of one week or two at the most before moving on to another destination. However, we would be very flexible with your requirements, particularly if you wished to stay longer at our home - that would not be a difficulty.
