Basement for working; with phone , computer, storage; groundfloor with open plan drawing room, atrium with open staircase, open plan kitchen large dining room and rough teak tanle and chairs; downstairs bedroom with doors to garden, bathroom attached; separate lavatory for downstairs guests; three bedrooms upstairs two with inter linked bathroom and other with own bathroom; first floor balcony, roof form uninterrupted power supply and washing etc; cleaning staff and cook and gardener; internet, good library; t.v. and music system etc in upstairs family room.

Neighborhood

Busy neighbourhood as bangalore is expanding; but house very quiet as the garden is big and the house set far back; main attraction is house and garden itself; and being in bangalore with easy access to all the one day or two day jungle lodge picnic spots and trecking places in karnataka. we are in development so we can also point you to rural areas you may want to see to understand india more.

About Us

Son at Dartington College of Arts; daughter 18 and doing A'level exams this summer. father in bangalore occasioally for his work, mother in Switzerland. I do tradsing of emission reductions from CDM oprojects for rural areas: biogas, photovoltaic lighting, zero emission cooking stoves ,and other forms of renewable energy; plus forestry. We enjoy bangalore but want to get away occasionally as we work all the time from home; we have two dogs but our cook/cleaner/driver/gardner will take care, though if you want to bring your dogs we will put ours with relatives; come prepared for a hectic city but a wonderful calm countryside; you an also stay at our farm 100 km North, no good facilities but very friendly people looking after the place and you can hike and get to know a semi-arid region which is suffering from climate change;experience india from the safe vantage of our home in bangalore; or stay in and watch satellite t.v. and be waited on by very good vegetatian or non-vegetarian cook.

Destination

At the moment I need to be in Cambridge for my daughter's exams from 10th may to 20th June. After that I will be open to general exchanges suiting both parties.
