My wife Jackie and I live in a quiet, friendly neighborhood surrounded by National Forest Land at the base of the stunning San Francisco Peaks. We have lived in this house since 1987, and have restored it lovingly in a very comfortable genuine Santa Fe style, with historical locally reclaimed Ponderosa Pine floors, ceramic tile work throughout and an efficient, updated kitchen with copper and stainless steel counter tops. The 3 tiled and stucco bathrooms are also very unique and beautiful . The upstairs master bedroom has a wonderful view of the mountains as well as a large deck facing Mount Agassiz. The downstairs master bedroom has a large sitting room with a pullout couch/bed, a 46" plasma tv and a door to the backyard/garden with a 4 person hot tub. The night sky is very dark here, so the stars seem very bright and close. Raised [3'] flower beds around the back yard are planted in many local and exotic flowering species.

Neighborhood

This is a quiet, friendly neighborhood with lots of young families, professionals and outdoor enthusiasts. A city bus stop is right next to our house, the Coconino National Forest surrounds us on 3 sides, with excellent hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, wildlife viewing and the beautiful San Francisco Peaks just 2 miles to the north. Sunset vistas from the deck are stunning over the Ponderosa Pine forested mountains and volcanic foothills. At 7000' above sea level the sky is startling blue in the day, clear and starry by night, the air is clean, fresh and lightly vanilla scented by the pines. We are 3 miles from bustling historic downtown Flagstaff, featuring great shopping and excellent nightlife. The Arizona Snowbowl is just 12 miles away from the house, offering superb skiing in winter and high altitude hiking [ up to 12,760 feet above sea level ] the rest of the year.

About Us

I have been an HVAC and electrical contractor in Flagstaff since 1985 and I enjoy all outdoor activities with my family and friends. We have done a lot of camping, river running, hiking, skiing, 4-wheeling, explorations of little known Indian ruins and cliff dwellings, creative loafing and general goofing off in our spare time. My wife, Jackie owns an organic baby clothing boutique with our daughter-in-law Brittany called ZenBaby. Jackie is the maternal goddess of our family, pulling together events and spreading love before her. She also is the sole family guardian and care giver for her aging mother, Mary who lives here in Flagstaff. Big Job Well Done. Our son Jason has 3 beautiful children ages 7, 4 and 1 with Brittany,and they live 2 blocks away from us. Jason is co-owner of the HVAC company [Air Tec] with me. I couldn't do without him. Our daughter Karla and her husband live in Golden, Colorado where Karla teaches Suzuki violin and Josh is a floor manager for Best Buy. No children yet, just a couple of dogs.
