Neighborhood

Our house is situated in a quiet tree lined street with a short 10min walk into the main city of Geelong and also the waterfront. Large park & botanical gardens a short 5min walk. A convenience store is located around the block & a shopping centre with banks & supermarket, deli & fruit shop & coffee shop is located 2 mins walk away.
Train station 10min walk. Trip to Melbourne 40mins.
Great Ocean Road is on our doorstep. Beautiful picturesque drive around the coast passing many beautiful surf beaches. Our region is also well known for top class wineries along the Bellarine Peninsula. Also a 20min drive to native animal reserve Jirrahlinga where you can get up close & personal with koalas/kangaroos. A visit to the local aboriginal information centre is a must on the way to Torquay (15mins drive) home of Rip Curl, Oakley & Quicksilver. Step back in time and experience Australia's exciting goldrush days at Sovereign Hill, Ballarat (1hr). Set on a former goldmining site this open air museum allows you to pan for gold.
Avalon Domestic Airport is 15-20mins drive, for cheap flights to Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide & Sydney flying Jetstar part of Qantas. www.jetstar.com.au

About Us

My husband & I are in our early forties and our 2 children 12 & 15.
He owns a manufacturing business and I am a stay at home mum.
We enjoy travelling together & have visited Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bali & Fiji.
We are very keen to house swap in December 08, preferably New York, as we have always wanted to spend the festive season over in the US. Hopefully a 'white Christmas'.
