Description

The house is located in Cumbayá, a pleasant weather valley 10 minutes from the capital, Quito. This is a second home, which we usually use during weekends so it could be available anytime of the year. It has a huge garden of XXX meters, which includes an exterior private jacuzzi available for use during your stay. The house also includes a BBQ for outdoor entertaining. The XXX m2 house has 4 bedrooms: 1) a master bedroom with queen bed, rustic fireplace, complete with walking closet and bathroom 2) a second bedroom with queen bed with a full bathroom right in front; 3) and third and fourth smaller bedrooms with one twin bed each, which share a full bathroom. Additional bedding could be arranged if necessary, as there is ample space.

The house includes a very comfortable living room including a XXX home entertainment system carrying over 300 DVD concerts and movies, karaoke system... it is great for kids, not only due to the huge garden and exterior jacuzzi but it includes lots of toys, has a small little wooden cabin for their enjoyment and upon request we could include a variety of baby items such as crib, stroller, highchair, carseat, baby swing...

The house has ample parking space for 6 cars and there is a maid permanently there to help out with cleaning and with the kitchen if necessary.

Neighborhood

The valley of Cumbayá has great warm pleasant weather and it is perfectly located only 10 minutes from the capital of Ecuador, Quito, a city known for its beauty and cultural heritage. With Ecuador being a small country, Quito is perfect to center your vacation and then engage into daily trips to different areas of interest such as Termas Papallacta, Otavalo indian markets, Cotopaxi mountain, craft markets, you name it!!!
The house is a 2 minute walk to a main road were public transportation (buses) is available, but with taxis being so cheap here, it could be wiser just to call taxis or hire one for your entire stay in the city, if you do not plan on renting a car.
The house is conveniently located very close to restaurants, supermarkets, shopping malls, movie complex if you want to stay in the valley, or in 15 minutes you can be in Quito to enjoy additional entertainment and good night life...

About Us

We are a young family of 4. My husband (39) works in a construction-related family business and I (35) work in financial consulting for a US-based firm. We have two sons 6 and 3 and we enjoy family life and traveling. We live in a house in Quito and the house we have put up for exchange is a second home usually used on weekends and holidays so it could be available any time and trades do not need to be simultaneous. The kids usually have vacations from school for a couple weeks during Christmas season, a couple of weeks around easter time and July and August, so usually our preferred time to travel will be around those dates, even though we could consider other times as well.

Destination

My husband and I have planned a trip to Italy this coming May, so we could be interested in a exchange to stay in Rome for about 5 days, Venice for 2 days, Florence or around it for 4 days... since the house we are swapping is a second house, the exchange does not need to be simultaneous and we could also offer a longer stay in our house, even though the days we need in Italy are not that many...
