Description

My home is comfortable and cosy, it has a large kitchen with enough space for dining. There are two reception rooms one has an open fireplace and the other is used as an office. The bedrooms are all doubles, one has a single bed . I have a small west facing garden, perfect for a glass of wine when the sun goes down. I also have a house in the Peloponnese in Greece which would be available at certain times, 100metres from the sea and close to Epidavros, Mycenae and Nafplio.

Neighborhood

My house is in an area called Poet's Corner just 5 mins from the city centre of Brighton and Hove. It is a quiet street, there are shops and cafes only 5 minutes on foot and the seafront is a 15 mins stroll. The city is nicknamed 'London by the Sea' as it has many theatres, cinemas, live music events, museums, multinational restaurants and of course the famous Royal Pavilion and Palace Pier. The magnificent South Downs are a 5 minute drive. London is 50 mins away by train, Gatwick airport and ferries to Europe are only 30 mins away.

About Us

My name is Penny, I have two children (one in Fremantle, Australia) and four grandchildren and I have reached the grand old age of 61. I am a retired Cardiology Technician and department manager for the NHS. Since retirement a lot of my time is taken up with the theatre, both on and off the stage. I am looking for an exchange for 4-6 months between October 2008 and March 2009 so that I can visit my grandchildren in Australia and get to know them properly.
