Description

Hi there,

We live in a 2 bedroom flat built in 1900 in central Edinburgh on the third floor across from a very large park called The Meadows.

You can walk to all locations such as Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, City Centre (Princes st)

We have been renovating this flat for nearly 2 years. We have 2 double bedrooms. One has a cot in it but can be removed and replaced with a double or sofabed depending on your families needs.

We have a separate WC room and brand new bath and shower room.

Our kitchen is brand new too and has all new appliances including a dishwasher and is just off the living room with a baby gate. So you can still cook and keep an eye on your little one or talk to your partner while you are in the kitchen. Of course we will remove gate if your children are older!

As mentioned there is a large living room (sitting area)

We have wifi, Wii, 40 inch flat screen, 27 inch mac for you to use.

New Gas Central Heating

A VW polo 1996 N reg.

We bought the flat 2 years ago and have being doing it up bit by bit so everything is new. The rooms are freshly decorated with new carpets. We just need to finish the sitting room and the hall and hope to be complete by June 2008. Of course we live here now and we just have to put up with a hall and sitting room with wallpaper that needs stripped.

Basically we started with an out of date flat and have modernized it bit by bit ourselves.

Neighborhood

This area is fantastic. There is a mixture of young families, old people and lots of students as it is on the door step of University of Edinburgh.

To walk into town will take you 20 minutes or about 10 on the bus. The bus stop is 3 minutes from our house. Once you get into town you are minutes away from Old Town, New Town, Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street Gardens, Museums, Shops.

The Meadows park is across from our flat with a huge playpark.

If you like to go out for dinner there is plenty of restaurants surrounding our house and a few bars too if you like a wee drink and you can just stumble home as opposed to having to get taxis everywhere.

You can see the top of Arthurs Seat from our window and you can be round at the bottom of it ready to walk up it in about 20 minutes.

By car you can take 20 minutes to get to Portobello beach or 20 minutes to get to Roslyn Chapel from the Davinci code. As well as a huge list of places that would take me too long to type. But I will be more than willing to advise you of the best places to go!

About Us

I am a stay at home mum. I look after my 18 month old son and my partner who is a web developer and graphic designer. I enjoy going to the gym and swimming (Commonwealth pool and gym is 15 minutes walk from our flat) I love photography and enjoy watching USA tv shows such as Lost, Heroes and Prison Break!

I like nothing better than catching up with friends and also that rare quiet time when I can lie in on a Sunday and read the papers.
