Description

Our home is is a beautiful victorian terrace in a picturesque avenue in a desirable area of Leicester.Downstairs it has a shower/toilet ,3 living rooms (one a brick built conservatory overlooking the garden)as well as a very large dining room/kitchen.Upstairs there are 3 large double bedrooms and a single bedroom with children's bed.The house is full of traditional features including stained glass front door and original fireplaces.There are 3 TVs ,hi fi music equipment and a fast broadband computer.

Neighborhood

The neighbourhood is friendly with shops bars pubs and restaurants only 2 minutes walk away.Nearby is the pretty Victoria Park with swings for children. The park hosts the annual Summer Sundae music festival every summer(check for dates}which is among the most family friendly in the UK.
Leicester city centre is a short bus ride away with some of the finest Asian cuisine in the UK.It is also a good base to explore Nottingham(Robin Hood),Stratford(shakespeare country)and Birmingham.Central London is 1 hour 30 minutes by train..2 hours by car.

About Us

We are 2 teachers and parents of 3 children(2 girls 9 and 6 and a boy of 3)This is our first exchange and we see it as an ideal way to expand our childrens horizons in a mutually convenient way! We hope to connect with like minded people in similar circumstances.

Destination

We have booked a villa in the Catalonia region for 7 days in July and are looking to add a week either side of this.We would therefore be flexible about the duration of the exchange depending on the date of the swap.
The Montpellier area would be ideal or the Barcelona area.
Future swaps could include Ireland, Italy or other European countries. New York is also a place we'd like to see.
