Description

A bright three room appartment on the third floor with lift(elevator). Comfortable kitchen with kitchen facilities.A small recess with sofa and armchair is ideal for watching tv. Two single bedrooms (or one twin bedroom). One bathroom with shower, large washbasin, bidet,toilet and washing machine. Two wide balconies where you can enjoy the sea breeze. The whole appartment has marble floors(very cool in summer) and a cosy look. From the window you can see pine-trees, small gardens,houses and shops. There is a car and car space that goes with the appartment.

Neighborhood

The appartment is in a quiet area but only a 5min. walk to the beach, shops, internet caffé and centre. The beach is sandy and wide with lots of bars, restaurants,pubs,evening amusements. The harbour has a long walk, very romantic in the warm evenings and boat transport to the small beaches along the coast that cannot be reached otherwise(Porto Venere, Cinque Terre). Lots of little shops and evening markets open till midnight attract hundreds of tourists and locals. There are tennis courts,gyms and pine tree parks for jogging or walking. In summer, lots of young people choose Marina di Carrara as their holiday place because it is not far from Versilia, a famous holiday resort with discos, clubs, shops etc. The Alps seem to touch the sea and there are trips to see the famous marble quarries. There are lots of little ancient villages where you can enjoy breathtaking veiws and taste local food an wine. By train you can reach Pisa, Lucca, in and hour, and in two hours, Florence. There are motoways to all these places and more that can be reached in a 90min. drive.

About Us

My husband and I are in our 50s and live in Florence were we work as hospital doctor and teacher in a secondary school. We both come from Carrara but moved for work years ago. We have no children or pets and do not smoke. For many years we spent our summer holidays in Marina di Carrara where we have friends and relatives. Lately, we desire to change this routeen in order to extend our knowlege of the world. We have always loved traveling and are interested in Art, History,Architecture and Local customs. We are trustworthy,quite, friendly and respectful.

Destination

The exchange can be a non-simultaneous exchange because our appartment is free all the year round except for Christmas and Easter. Our vacaton is possible only in the period indicated above and the exchange can be simultaneous or not.
We would like to visit the most important art and ancient cities of these countries: Greece, Cyprus, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Holand and Russia
