Views of snow capped mountains to the north from master bedroom/family room. 2 hours to Grand Canyon, 1 hour to Sedona (cosmic center of universe), 1-2 hour to Navajo/Hopi Indian Reservations, 2 hours to Monument Valley: all by car. Immediate access to hiking and biking trails in surrounding national forest. Mountain elevation shown in picture: 12,643 feet.

Neighborhood

Our home is in a residential subdivision minutes from the quaint downtown of Flagstaff, Arizona (30-40 minute walk). Local bus service is available but limited. Stops are 7-10 minutes from home. Our home sits on a quiet cul-de-sac street. Flagstaff is a mountain community with many local items of historical, cultural and natural interest. The town sits in the middle of one of the largest contiguous ponderosa pine stands in the world. The Northern Arizona University campus is a 15 minute walk from the home.

About Us

My wife and I will be traveling through Germany, Austria and Italy from April to mid-May. We are in our late 30s, professionals and without children, yet. Our home is one of our most cherished things, next to our families who live in the mid-west United States. We are excited at the prospect of exchanging our lovely home for one in Italy for a week. Due to insurance liability restrictions, we are unable to offer a car exchange. A one week rental (mid-sized) car rents for around $269/week with a pick up at the Phoenix airport (2 hrs driving).
