Description

We live in a bungalow, 185 sq metres. It contains 4 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms, 1 bathroom, conservatory, utility and garage. We also have a large play house at the end of the garden. The garden is spacious 2000sq metres. It is private and landscaped and safe for small children. It has a timber deck leading from the conservatory and is a beautiful suntrap for relaxing or barbeque.

Neighborhood

We live in a rural setting the 4th in a row of 7 houses. Our house is 2k from Ballyneety village. Located in the village is the local shop/post office, pub and golf club The golf club (Limerick County Golf and Country Club) is a major golf facility in south-west Ireland, comprising a Des Smyth designed championship-standard golf course, golf academy, spectacular clubhouse, accommodation and seventy-eight beautiful home sites.
Limerick city is just 8k to the north. It is a medieval city, standing where the River Shannon becomes tidal. As an historic place it has many interesting features as well as being an important port and industrial centre.
County Limerick is a place of quiet beauty and rural charm, offering good sport to the angler and golfer and some of the finest hunting country in Ireland. Much of County Limerick is low and undulating-particularly in the east, where it forms part of the rich plain known as the Golden Vale. There are, however, considerable elevations towards the west, south and north-east fringes of the county, and in the south-east the Galtee mountains reach into County Limerick from neighbouring County Tipperary.
Lough Gur, located about 6k to the south east, is a small horseshoe-shaped lake nestled among limestone hills in south-eastern Limerick. Over 30 ancient sites and monuments can be found around its shores today, ranging in date from Neolithic to Medieval times. Lough Gur’s monuments include stone circles, dwelling-places, field systems, standing stones, ringforts, crannogs, castles, and a megalithic tomb. Archaeology woaling tours are available during July and August.
Limerick is also a very convenient location to tour the south and west of Ireland from. Killarney and the ring of Kerry is about 1.5 hours drive while Connemara and the wesk of Ireland is a day's trip.
