A house from 1963 of 250 sqm. with a garden surrounded by a small fir wood, near a small lake. I, a psychologist, 67 y) have my therapy practice in the house, and my wife, a gerontologist,(58 y) teaches in a basement classroom. (also used for neighborhood parties!) Besides my practice ( closed off) there are two large rooms towards the garden, one sitting/dining-room, and one we use as an office. Besides a large bathroom, and a modern kitchen, there are one master bedroom and 3 smaller rooms. The priest who lived here when the state built it for him, had five children! The countryside around us is with soft hills, ideal for bicycling and walks, and the sea
close by for swimming. Copenhagen is 2 hours away by car and 3 by train/bus. Two families from France and Holland have been very content with the exchange. To indicate it is a nice place: With six neighbours we run a small, private beer brewery. Opposite our house, on the other side of the quiet street we in the village have a 3000 sqm public common for play and games and parties. We have only been here for 4 years but "never" intend to move away. The temperature here in june/july is usually between 15 C at night and 25 in the day. 3 bikes available.

Destination

Our wish is to exchange with a small family from central N.Y - living in a nice apartment or house in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Greenwich Village or right on the other side of the Br. bridge. We have never been to the US before and just aim to walk, look and listen to the city and stay there all the time except for a short prof. visit to Wisconsin. We want to avoid August because of the heat.
