Description

Three-storey Victorian house with 4 beds, 3 baths, modern kitchen, dining room, living room, library (many, many books), piano, porch swing, antiques, 3rd floor rec room, no TV (you're on vacation!) set on quiet residential street. Very spacious and luxurious. Air-conditioned (summers are hot!) but you can enjoy the fresh air on screened-in porch, outdoor roof garden and brick patio.

Neighborhood

Lexington's bustling downtown is 5 mins away (use our bikes to get there) with arts scene, sports bars, fine dining, film, music, galleries, shopping, and outdoor swimming/diving pool (use our membership). An easy 10-minute drive puts you among Kentucky's famed horse farms with their rolling hills and rail fences. Within an hour's drive you could be hiking in Natural Bridge State Park, touring Kentucky's finest bourbon distilleries, exploring historic Shakertown Village, or placing your bet on the Kentucky Derby winner.

About Us

We are 5 transplants to Kentucky from London, working in finance industry and education. Three daughters - 9, 13, 15 - all working hard at school, music and sports. We like to travel and experience new things. Staying in hotels is unappealing; we prefer the personal touches and unique aspects of someone's home. We also enjoy sharing our home, its features and comforts with visitors.

Destination

We are looking for a week in London (anywhere within the 5 zone commuting map), but our house is available for 3 weeks over the same period.
