Description

We love our home. We love the quietness of this rural neighborhood and our close proximity to Pohara beach and wonderful bush walks. Our home is light and airy and welcomes families. The garden is very private, spacious and full of birdsong especially in the mornings. We have many fruit trees beginning to mature. In the cool evenings we enjoy the very cosy log fire. The kitchen is spacious and has a laundry off creating even more space. I love the big gas hob in this kitchen, excellent for using when entertaining. We also have a 24ft trailer sailer boat available to yachters.

Neighborhood

Pohara is a sought after place to live, quiet, close to the beach and bush and easy access to the Abel Tasman national park which is a stunningly beautiful np having many golden beaches and luscious indigenous forests. Takaka is the main centre and has unique craft shops mostly stocked by local artists goods. Golden bay is full of artistic people and activites indoor and outdoor. There is a marina a ten minute walk from the house where many locals and holiday makers put their trailer boats in to the bay and go fishing for the excellent Tasman bay scallops and a variety of good fish. The Abel Tasman park is only a 20min sail away from the harbour.

About Us

John and myself, Carol have had some wonderful exchanges previously. We enjoy living in this area and taking every opportunity to sail our boat. John is an artist and works as project manger at the local museum and arts council worker for the bay. I work as a registered nurse and have also recently gone self employed as a yoga therapist and workshop facilitator. The reason we want to leave this spot of paradise is because we have family in the uk and need to see them. We are keen to have a long term in the UK six months minimum and are open to doing more than one house swap if necessary.

Destination

We are open to non simultaneous exchange. The dates are flexible and we are open to doing more than one exchange in this period.
The English visit we are looking to be based in Kenilworth in warwichshire and are open to nearby locations. The Irish visit we are looking to be based near to Dingle in county Kerry.
