Description

Our newly- renovated home, built in 1954, is located in the western part of the beautiful Island of Montreal. It is a simple but comfortable house, updated with sleek new pecan kitchen, dining room, southern-exposure garden with lots and lots of light. It is air-conditioned, has a big patio with barbeque, a lovely maple shade tree, garden.We have three bedrooms but one is converted to an office with computer, fax and photocopier. Great family room in our finished basement with exercise area (new treadmill and stationary bicycle and best of all, the house is located 2-minutes walk from a quiet new electric suburban train that connects us with Montreal's downtown in 27 minutes.

Neighborhood

The neighborhood is safe, with people from every age group. It has lots of shopping and cultural conveniences. We have a convenience store one minute walk from our house. We are located not far from major highways leading to Montreal and nearby Vermont, but it is a peaceful and quiet area. We are five minutes by car from cinemas and libraries, and we have several good parks nearby.

About Us

We are a mature couple without children at home. My husband works in administration in a private company and I am an employee of the Government of Canada. We both speak English, French and Spanish. We enjoy music, reading, gourmet cuisine, art and history, as well as international travel, of course! We look forward to hearing from you if you are interested in travelling to a beautiful part of Canada which features excellent cuisine, art and culture (The Montreal International Jazz Festival (mostly free of charge) is from last week of June through mid-July each year and is followed by the acclaimed Just For Laughs Comedy Festival). The Grand Prix is also an annual affair here!

Destination

We are most interested in visiting the Steirmark area of Austria this year if possible. The dates are somewhat flexible. We are likewise interested in the other areas noted and the dates on these are more flexible, extending at least until 2013.
