We live in a new upper end neighborhood of custom built homes which all have great views of the front range rocky mountains. Our home is approximately 4,000 SF. It is decorated in a contemporary fashion (similar to a pottery barn catalog)
We are 5 minutes from Boulder, 30 minutes from Denver and 45 minutes - 3 hours to all ski resorts. There are tons of museums, shopping, waterparks, mountains, etc...
The design of our home: The main level consists of an office (with desktop PC), dining room, breakfast room, laundry room, tv room, formal living room 1/2 bath and gourmet kitchen with state of the art appliances (and MAC computer).
We have 3 bedrooms upstairs - Master with king size bed, sitting room and full bathroom (TV in room). There are other BR's upstairs - 1 w/ Queen bed, 1 w/ Full bed (no TV's). These two rooms share a bathroom.
Lower level consists of another bedroom (w/ TV) and a separate bath. Our lower level there is a large family room with a 60" TV and Wii, XBox, AirHockey and workout space (workout equipment will be purchased this spring - currently a few weights, ball and an eliptical).
We have 2 cats. Our neighborhood is about 80% complete so there is still some construction which is due to be completed by the end of 2008.
We moved here last summer from California so we've spent the last year being tourists. It is a great location to everything. We've visited several ski resorts (in the winter and summer), Boulder and Denver and have found it quite convenient. For someone interested in our home for exchange, I'd be happy to create a sample itinerary similar to the one we use when we have family visit.

Neighborhood

We live in a suburban neighborhood approximately 10 minutes from Boulder. There is public transportation within walking distance, but I'm not certain were it all goes to. I could look into this if someone is interested, but it is probably more convenient to drive. There are awesome views of the rocky mountains and tons of families both in our neighborhood and the one next to us. There is a park that is being built less than 3 minutes walking distance from our house. Completion is expected June 2008. We have easy access to I25 and Co Route 119 / US 36 (the main roads throughout the Denver metro area). The area is great for folks who love the outdoors.

About Us

I work for a local healthcare company as a Market Manager and my husband is a sales manager for a different healthcare company. We have 2 children (7 yr old boyo and 10 yr old girl). We also have an AuPair from Austria who lives with us. She really isn't an AuPair anymore as she is now a student attending Colorado University. My kids are very involved with sports (All Star Cheerleading, Power Tumbling, LaCrosse, Soccer and Baseball). My husband and I both golf. We do have a country club membership, I will ask if we can provide guest access during a visitors stay. We're really outgoing people and welcome the opportunity to exchange homes for a week or two. We are fairly neat, but not crazy about it. We don't like messes, but we don't obsess over it either. We love to travel and spend time with our kids. As I mentioned, we're fun and outgoing people to enjoy a new adventure. That's is in a nutshell.
