Description

Our house is small, but comfortable and is within walking distance to one of the greatest sights in the world....Niagara Falls.

We have one bedroom with a queen size bed and the couch in the living room pulls out to a pretty comfortable double bed. There is one bathroom with a tub/shower combo. An air conditioner in the central area of the house keeps our cozy home cool enough. We have cable TV, VCR, DVD and computer with internet access.

In the kitchen we have a table that seats for or six that is situated next to the sliding glass doors that lead out onto the back deck. There is a full size fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The dishwasher is not plumbed in and has to be turned around and hooked to the sink. The washer and dryer are down in the basement, as well as a decently stocked chest freezer.

The porch on the front of the house is covered and has seating so that you can people watch in comfort. We have a 12foot by 20foot deck on the back of the house (but no overhang/awning) and a patio set with an umbrella. The deck is also equipped with a propane bbq and I recently purchased a 'misting fan', similar to the ones they use in Las Vegas on the strip to cool people as they walk by out in the scorching heat.

Neighborhood

For such a busy, touristy area we are very lucky to live just 'off the beaten path'.

We are 10 minute walk from a view of Niagara Falls, and a five minute drive from everything that 'The Falls' has to offer.

The public transit (bus) stop is across the street and down half a block (1 minute walk, tops) and it will take you almost anywhere in the city. You will have access to our car to take you to any one of the many attractions that we will leave information for you on.

What we don't have in the 'fancy' department, we really make up for in the 'comfortable and easy-going' section.

We have two world-class casinos, concerts, movies, musems, attractions and more food establishments that you can imagine. All that and an incredible view of the majestic Niagara Falls.

About Us

My husband and I both work in the tourism area. I have worked at one of the Casino properties since its opening 11 years ago and my husband works at a hotel across the street from the Casino. Neither of us speak any language other than English.

We have a very easy-going lifestyle. Comfort and simplicity is our motto. We have no children and neither of us smoke. We do not mind if you smoke outside the house on either of the porches.

Our house does come equipped with a very special resident. Oreo the cat will be your host while we are gone. He is completely friendly and only an indoor cat. If you like low maintenance pets, he is the one for you. Feed him thrice daily, some water and a box change and he will take care of the rest. Love and affection are his middle names.

We are hoping that we will be able to swap with a couple that understand how much of a family member a pet can be and will treat him accordingly.

Destination

We are open to staying anywhere in England. We would like to swap with a couple who has a small house or apartment so that you don't feel cheated because our home is small (750 sq ft total). Unless you want cozy and almost maintenance free...and then our house is the place for YOU!
