Description

We love our house, built around 1920, with two levels (plus an unfinished basement), all white walls and hardwood floors. Our large wooden deck has a Weber charcole grill and is overlooking the small village and the sea, the Danish coastline included. There's a nature reserve across the street and numerous golf courses in the area.

The house has three bedrooms upstairs - the master bedroom included - and one bedroom downstairs. The TV-room upstairs has a nice view of the sound between Sweden and Denmark. There's another TV-room downstairs and a living room with a dining area that opens to the deck. We have plenty of books, many in English.

Our garden is large and private and there's a large trampoline to bounce on.

Neighborhood

Our little village, Hittarp, has about 900 recidents and has its own small beach a five minute walk from our house. Hittarp is located 5 kilometers north of the city of Helsingborg, which has a small boat marina and a great well-kept beach right in the city. In Helsingborg there are ferries taking you to the quaint little Danish town Helsingör every 20 minutes. From Helsingborg it's a 1 hour drive to Copenhagen (train is available too) and a 6 hour drive to Stockholm or Oslo.

About Us

We're a family of five. Thomas is an accountant and Ann-Marie is an IT project manager and our kids are Clara (16), Hedvig (14) and Marten (12). We have two friendly cats, Wilma and Lizzie and a fish tank needing a minimum of care.

We've exchanged our home twice before and for the summer of 2007 we'd really like to swap with someone in the New York area. Preferably a place near a beach or with a pool. Our 2002 BMW 318 Touring can be included in the exchange.

Destination

We're mainly looking for an exchange on the French riviera, preferably in the Cannes/Nice area.

New York might be an option as well! If you have a house near NYC, with a pool or near a beach and would like to spend a couple of weeks (or more) during July-August in southern Sweden, please contact us.
