Description

[English follows] Il s'agit d'un cottage de 2 étages, situé dans un rang, à la campagne. Il y a trois chambres à l'étage ainsi qu'une salle d'eau. Le RDC possède vestibule, cuisine, salle à dîner, living et salle de bain complète (bain/douche, 2 lavabos, laveuse/sécheuse à linge). Il y a un sous-sol de service pour rangement seulement. Il y a aussi un garage avec 3 places de stationnement.

L'extérieur est constitué d'un grang terrain paysagé. Il y a une petite terasse de bois à l'arrière, avec un gazebo (abri moustiquaire) ainsi qu'un barbecue.

Plus loin derrière, il y a une piscine hors-terre. Nous avons aussi un joli petit étang, avec une pergola, où table et chaises vous attendent pour lézarder, lire... Pour le soir, il y a aussi un petit foyer au bois. Et derrière tout cela, il y a un champ de blés blonds sur environ 200 mètres, où vous serez encore chez vous et pourrez prendre une petite marche.

De la maison, la vue avant se consitue d'un décor bucolique avec fond de montagnes. Elles sont petites quand même, c'est pas les Alpes ici !

It is a 2-storey cottage, situated in a Lane, in the countryside. There are three bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. The 1st floor has kitchen, dining room, living room and a full bath (bath / shower, 2 sinks, washer/dryer). There is a basement for storage service only. There is also a garage with 3 parking spaces.

The exterior is a nicely landscaped. There is a small wooden terrace at the rear, with a gazebo and a barbecue.

Further behind, there is a swimming pool. We also have a pretty little pond, with a pergola, where a table and chairs await you for a bit of reading or a snooze... For the evening, there were also a small fireplace.

And behind it all, there is a blond wheat field about 200 meters, where you are still at home and can take a walk. Front view is field, woods and small mountains.

Neighborhood

[English follows] C'est un quartier rural assez calme. Il y a beaucoup de sites naturels à proximité (Chutes Monte-à-Peine, Chutes Darwin, etc.). où l'on peut faire de la randonnée. Pour les enfants, il y a beaucoup de place pour jouer.

Il y a quelques jeux (parc) au village (2 minutes en voiture). Vous pouvez retrouver quelques trucs pour vous dépanner (nourriture, etc.) dans les "dépanneurs" du village.

Il y a une épicerie à 5 minutes (Ste-Mélanie).

Pour plus de services (grandes épiceries, centre d'achats, etc.), il faut se rendre à la ville de Joliette située à 10 minutes ou bien vous rendre à la grande ville, Montréal, située à une heure environ. Nous sommes aussi à une heure de Trois-Rivières et 2 heures 30 de Québec.

P.S. Il y a une piste de motoneige en hiver qui passe à environ 400 mètres.

It is a fairly quiet rural neighborhood. There are many natural sites nearby (Chutes (Falls) Monte-Peine, Darwin Falls, and so on.) where you can go hiking. For children, there is plenty of room for play.

There are a few games (park) in the village (2 minutes by car). You can find some items (food, etc.) in the 2 convenience stores in the village.

There is a grocery store at 5 minutes (Ste-Melanie).

For more services (large grocery stores, shopping mall, etc.) you then must travel to the town of Joliette at 10 minutes or go to the big city, Montreal, located about an hour away. We are also one hour from Trois-Rivières and 2 hours and 30 minutes of Quebec.

In winter, there is a snowmobile path passing about 1/4 of a Mile away. We do not owned one but you can rent & really closeby.

About Us

Nous sommes un couple de deux enseignants avec une enfant.

Nous aimons voyager, faire de la randonnée ainsi que de la plongée, mais pas au Québec, car on aime l'eau chaude!

Nous apprécions aussi le vélo. Il y a beaucoup de pistes cyclables dans les environs et beaucoup de randonneurs passent près d'ici d'ailleurs.

We like traveling, hiking and when we have chance go out for a dive...

We also appreciate going for a bike ride. There are a lot of bike paths in the vicinity. Many people pass in front of our house even if no official path passes through. This is a popupular activity on nice summer Sunday mornings...
