Description

We are looking to swap one week in Le Manoir de Founcroup. It is set in the small village of Picauville and is located about 30 minutes drive from Cherbourg and close to the beautiful towns of St Mere Eglise and Bayeaux.It is 10 minutes drive from some of the best sandy beaches in Normandy and close to many excellent restaurants. In the surrounding area, there are golf courses, sea fishing, wind surfing, sailing, water skiing, horse riding and many beautiful towns. Le Manoir is fully furnished including the original 16th century fireplace in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped and also contains an Aga cooker and large farmhouse table. The lounge is spacious with views to the front and rear of the property. There is also a small study which contains the house computer and phone.The lounge has access to the Tower which has the original stone spiral staircase. This then leads up past the 16th century firing positions to the bedrooms. There are 5 bedrooms in total - 3 rooms with double beds, 1 room with 2 single beds and one room with 1 single bed there are 3 bathrooms with bath and/or shower facilities and a separate toilet downstairs. The master bedroom is situated on the 3rd floor with excellent views over the large gardens. It also has it's own bathroom and dressing area. There is a full Sky TV package and DVD surround sound system, not to mention bikes and own private tennis court. The week we have available is Week commencing the 2nd of September until the 9th of September 2007. We are looking for maybe Cornwall or anywhere nice in the South of England, preferably during the school holidays but will consider any swap.

Neighborhood

The manoir is a 5 minute walk to a local bar tabac and a five minute drive to either Ste Mere Eglise or Picauville both these places have excellent supermarkets ,butchers and bakeries.

About Us

We are a family of five David is 37 year old Estate Manager,Sarah is 36 and a housekeeper, our 3 kids George ,Lily and Emily are all at school. We did live in France for nearly 5 years and we all loved it.

Destination

We are looking for a swap in the South of the UK but are open to any offers.
