Description

Highbury, Islington, north London, close to tubes and buses, Zone 2, only 15 minutes to centre of London. Close to bus stops, 10 minutes walk to two different tube stations.

Large family home, light and spacious, comfortable and child-friendly. Kitchen leading to patio garden, sunny and secluded. Split-level living/dining room with piano, TV/DVD, PS3 games console, two open fires. Adjoining dining room with French doors to patio. Two single rooms (one with sofabed as well as bed), and study with single sofabed. Double bedroom with open fire. Bathroom with toilet, and separate, second toilet downstairs. Quiet, tree-lined street, popular with families.

Neighborhood

Sought-after shady street, most residents are families with children, or professional working people. Lots of restaurants and small shops just around the corner. About a mile away, very lively and fashionable area of Angel/Islington, with its shops, restaurants and night life. We are close to two lovely parks, and two leisure centres with swimming pools (indoor). Children's play areas and tennis in both parks, with cafes. Buses in next street go to all major areas for sightseeing, and there are two different tube stations (Victoria line / Piccadilly line) within 10 minutes walk.

About Us

We work in educational publishing - teaching and producing language learning material. We have a good supply of books and guides to London and the local area. We are keen cooks and the kitchen is well-equipped. We have two boys aged 13 and 16. Our Labrador will be housed elsewhere when you are here!

Destination

Non-simultaneous exchange possible. We are looking for an exchange in California or New York. We also have a rural cottage to exchange alongside / instead of our London house. The cottage is in south western Scotland. See www.cottageguide.co.uk/bar-hill-lodge
