Description

We are a mother and her son of 9 years old. Our appartment is 95 m2, one of the four in a family Quiet and friendly building of the late 50's with renovated bath and kitchen. It is on the 1st floor with a small balcony full of plants. Airy, shiny with a hall and a large living room. Simply furnished, with extra care in colours. There is access in the internet through ADSL line. Child's room is fully furnished with desk, two beds and an extra PC (not connected with internet).
It is located on the hill of "Tourkovounia" in "Kypseli", (there is a great view of athens especially at sunset from our common roof terace), one of the most populated parts of the city. There is a bus terminal stop at 100m (022 N. Kypseli-Marasleios)that leads all the way to the centre of Athens in 20 minutes, until the most excuisite area, "Kolonaki". In 300m there is "Kypseli" square where there are numerous trolleybuses and buses that lead to the centre. For walkers there is in 500m the biggest city park, "Pedion Areos". We often do the walk to the city on foot. One must take in mind the location on the hill, with ascenting and descenting. The neighborhood is a typically 4 to 6 stories high buildings with a few family houses left. A grossery store is just 20 metres away with the daily bread and milk and kind owners. For shopping or having a proper meal in beautiful, typical tavernas you may wonder around in "Fokionos Negri passageway" that starts from "Kypseli Square" as noted above. A long passageway with huge Eukalyptus trees and greenery all the way through. It leads to "Patision" str. one of the main commercial and shopping streets in the centre of Athens.

Neighborhood

In our neighborhood live mainly families and its a quiet and safe location. There is an Orthodox church in 80 m just side to the bus terminal. Stefan is going to school (200m) all by himself. There are a few small neighborhood parks but the biggest park in the city of Athens is just 400m down the street, with many children play parks, small forests and pavements to walk or Jogging. On the other hand is Fokionos Negri passageway with lots of tavernas, caffeterias, and typical greek colour.

Im a choreographer and a storyteller. I live with my son Stefan in Athens the last 3years, and we never thought to move to another site of Athens.Although the fact that we are living in the centre of Athens, our neighborhood is considered to be with more clean air, marvelous clima and an family friendly place.
